The following Privacy Policy governs the online information collection practices of LEARNING WITH SPIRIT LIMITED (“COMPANY,” “we” or “us”). Specifically, it outlines the types of information that we gather about you while you are using the PAUSE VENTURES (the “Site”), and the ways in which we use this information. Pause Ventures is the trading name of Learning With Spirit Limited.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information you may provide to us or that we may collect offline and/or through other means (for example, at a live event, via telephone, or through the mail) insofar as the collected private data does not form a part of a filing system.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By visiting and using the Site, you agree that your use of our Site, and any dispute over privacy, is governed by this Privacy Policy. Because the Web is an evolving medium, we may need to change our Privacy Policy at some point in the future, in which case we’ll post the changes to this Privacy Policy on this website and update the Effective Date of the policy to reflect the date of the changes. By continuing to use the Site after we post any such changes, you accept the Privacy Policy as modified.

LEARNINGWITHSPIRIT through PAUSE VENTURES strives to offer its visitors the many advantages of Internet technology and to provide an interactive and personalized experience. We may use Personally Identifiable Information (your name, email address, street address, telephone number) subject to the terms of this privacy policy. We will never sell, barter, or rent your email address to any unauthorized third party.

Learning With Spirit Limited – trading as Pause Ventures – the “Site” is committed to these ethical principles. WHO IS LEARNING WITH SPIRIT LIMITED?
Learning With Spirit Ltd. is the data controller and processor. This means we decide how your personal data is processed and for what purposes.  

YOUR DATA
Personal data relates to a living individual who can be identified from that data. Identification can be by the information alone or in conjunction with any other information in the data controller’s possession or likely to come into such possession. Examples of personal data we may hold about you include your contact and appointment details. The provision of personal information is voluntary. We only collect and process the personal information needed to carry out our work or to comply with any legal requirements.

HOW WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We comply with our obligations under the GDPR by keeping personal data up to date; by storing (if electronic then password protected; if hardcopy then held in a locked secure place) and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure, and by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data. 


We will use your personal data for the purposes set out below:

1. We may use your name, telephone number and email address to make, cancel and rearrange sessions. We are unable to send or receive encrypted emails or texts so you should be aware that any emails or texts we send or receive may not be protected in transit. We will also monitor emails or texts sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software.  Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send is within the bounds of the law.


NON-DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES
Learning With Spirit Limited/Pause Ventures does not transfer personal information to third parties or service providers. Unless required or permitted by law, we won’t use or disclose your personal information.

YOUR RIGHTS 
Unless subject to an exemption under the GDPR, you have certain rights:

  • The right to request a copy of your personal data which we hold about you.

  • The right to request that we correct any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date.

  • The right to request your personal data is erased where it is no longer necessary for us to retain such data.

  • The right to withdraw your consent to the processing at any time. This right does not apply where we are processing information using a lawful purpose other than consent.

  • The right to request that we provide you with your personal data and where possible, to transmit that data directly to another data controller, (known as the right to data portability), (where applicable) [This right only applies where the processing is based on consent or is necessary for the performance of a contract with you and in either case we are processing the data by automated means].

  • The right, where there is a dispute in relation to the accuracy or processing of your personal data, to request a restriction is placed on further processing.

  • The right to object to the processing of personal data, (where applicable) [This right only applies where processing is based on legitimate interests (or the performance of a task in the public interest/exercise of official authority); direct marketing and processing for the purposes of scientific/historical research and statistics].

  • The right to be informed if your data is lost or exposed to an unlawful data breach. We will also inform the Information Commissioner’s Office in accordance with the time limits in the GDPR.

  • The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

USE AND RETENTION
We keep your personal data for no longer than reasonably necessary. Client records are kept for up to 7 years post-conclusion of our coaching/facilitation relationship.  At the end of the 7 years all electronic records relating to the client will be deleted, and any/all paper hard copy material relating to the client will be shredded.

During the mandated retention period of 7 years, clients will be required to notify in any changes, in writing, to their personal data to enable records to remain up to date. Such changes can be made at any time by emailing pause@learningwithspirit.com

COOKIES
Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Pauseventures.com uses “cookies” to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse or disable all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some parts of the site. By using this website, you accept the use of cookies.

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time to reflect legislation or industry developments. We will not explicitly inform clients or website users of these changes. Instead, we recommend that you check this page occasionally for any policy changes. 

For ease, your continued use of this website after any modifications to the Privacy Policy are posted on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.

You have the right to withdraw your consent on providing us your personal data, at any time, and to ask us to erase your data.

You may ask to see your data that you gave to us, and thus to exercise your right to access data. If it happens that the data you gave us is incorrect from any reason, you may ask for rectification of your data.

You also have the right to ask for restriction of access to your data, in which case the data shall not be erased, but just access thereto shall be denied.

Where you consented to give us data, or we process your data on the grounds of contract with you, if the processing is carried out by automated means, you may request that we send your data back in a structured way, and thus exercise your right to data portability.

Online Privacy Policy Only
This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through our website and not to information collected offline, insofar it does not relate to filling offline systems.

COMPANY reserves the right to change this policy at any time. Please check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of our site following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes. Information collected prior to the time any change is posted will be used according to the rules and laws that applied at the time the information was collected.

GOVERNING LAW
This policy and the use of these Sites are governed by laws of the United Kingdom of Great Britain. THE COMPANY adheres to principles of ICO and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and wish to provide all its customers with the highest standards in privacy protection. If a dispute arises under this Policy, we agree to first try to resolve it with the help of a mutually agreed-upon mediator based in the UK

Any costs and fees, other than legal fees associated with the mediation, will be shared 50/50.
